Pickle my Chili is a multi-award-winning home kitchen that creates fermented hot sauces and spice-infused condiments. But it hasn’t always been like that.

This journey began in 2020 during regional Victoria’s first lockdown. The weather was miserable on Phillip Island, and I was contemplating life—trying to find out how to survive and what was truly important to me. I decided to explore the connection between great food and people, inspired by my Slovenian father’s winemaking background and my Italian mother’s cooking knowledge. And I couldn’t tell you how, but “Pickle my Chili” popped into my head out of nowhere. I thought it was funny and witty—it could be interpreted in so many ways, but also highlighted the brand’s star ingredient—pickled chillies (fermented chillies, precisely). From there, I decided to make hot sauces and would name them after my family members for a bit of a laugh.

Fast forward through a lot of experimentation, fermentation, early mornings at local markets, and we’re selling our healthy, homemade products nationwide—online and in stores.

There are cheap and nasty supermarket condiments…and there’s Pickle my Chili. Stop settling for heat—just for heat’s sake. It’s time to take your food from good to great with gut-friendly, never-before-explored flavours made from 95%+ Australian ingredients.
